Robin William's Peace Plan...
I see a lot of people
yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one
plan: The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in
their affairs, past and present.
Remember the
wonderful pictures of America that came to our door each month. Those
whimsical true to life paintings by
Norman Rockwell and those
wonderful landscapes by
Ansel Adams.
When NASA first started
sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would
not work in zero gravity. To combat this problem, NASA scientists
spent a decade and $12 million developing a pen that writes in zero gravity,
upside down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures
ranging from below freezing to over 300C.
The Russians used a pencil.

The World around us...
This week, My phone went
dead and I had to contact the telephone repair people. They promised to be
out between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
When I asked if they could give me a smaller time window, the pleasant
gentleman asked,
"Would you like us to call you before we come?"
I replied that I didn't see how he would be able to do that. since our
phones weren't working.
